Shockwave Therapy
Have you been experiencing long term tendon or soft tissue related pain? Shockwave Therapy is clinically proven to relieve pain and restore function for chronic complaints.
What Is Shockwave Therapy?
Shockwave therapy is an effective, non-invasive treatment method designed to address various chronic pain and soft tissue conditions such as tendinitis, plantar fasciitis, and more. This innovative approach uses a handheld device that emits high-intensity sound waves directly to the affected area. These sound waves enhance the body’s natural healing processes by increasing blood flow and promoting the growth of new blood vessels and tissue.
Shockwave therapy is a clinically proven, safe alternative approach to surgery or steroid injections. It provides significant pain relief and aids in restoring function, making it a popular choice for treating conditions like Achilles tendinopathy, tennis elbow, and calcific tendinitis of the shoulder.

Q & A
How Many Sessions Will I Need?
In most cases, 4-6 sessions are all that are required. Depending on the case, how long you have had the problem and medical history, further sessions may be recommended.
Is Shockwave Therapy Painful?
Shockwave can be uncomfortable. However, you should not go over your pain tolerance. The first session will always start at a lower setting to understand your tolerance and response to care.
What Happens in a Shockwave Therapy Session:
Our team will start by taking a history of your complaint and perform the necessary tests to confirm your diagnosis.
The recommendation for sessions will then be given along with exercises to complement the Shockwave Therapy treatment.
With your consent, the first session will take place, and the practitioner will then arrange for your further sessions to be booked as required.
