How Chiropractic Care Can Help with Arthritis

Our goal at Inspired Health Chiropractic and Wellbeing Centre is to help you feel so good 😊 that you’re able to leap out of bed 🛌 in the morning. If you’ve been diagnosed with arthritis, this can be difficult😟, and we understand why. We know this is a painful condition that makes everyday movement difficult. But the 🙌 good news 🙌 is that chiropractic care can help reduce the stiffness associated with and spondylitis.

We look after knees, hips, ankles, toes, shoulders, elbows, wrists, and fingers. If you have a joint that is causing you pain, we may be able to help you feel better!

How Can You Help?

Chiropractic adjustments can ease stiff joints and misalignments in your spine to reduce inflammation and improve the function of both the affected joint and your nervous system.

By increasing joint mobility, improving your nervous system function, and your overall spinal health, your body can better manage the symptoms caused by osteoarthritis.

Regular chiropractic care visits can help with:

  • Reduced pain and discomfort
  • Decreased inflammation
  • Improved range of motion
  • Improved flexibility
  • Increased activity and lifestyle

What Can I Expect?

If you’re visiting us for help with arthritis, we will start your consultation by taking down your full medical history 📃 and by carrying out gentle 🤗 joint movement tests – also known as orthopaedic tests – as well as a full muscle and ligament assessment to fully diagnose your problem. We’ll also check the rest of your spine and nervous system as shoulder, elbow and wrist problems can often be connected with problems with your nerves, muscles, and joints in your neck.

If you are experiencing issues with your hips, knees, or ankle joints 🦵, we will also assess your lower back and pelvis as the nerves, muscles, and joints of these areas can often cause referral pain elsewhere in your body.

We’ll then develop a treatment plan for you that either helps to relieve the pain and symptoms. Our plan will include regular ⌚ visits that revolve around various tried and tested (and gentle!) chiropractic techniques to help the muscles and ligaments surrounding the joint move better and reduce pain and stiffness.

What Else Do I Need to Know?

While chiropractic care can certainly help to ease and relieve pain and inflammation caused by arthritis, it’s important that you know we can’t cure the condition. However, chiropractic care can certainly help you find relief through the relaxation of muscles and joints and even help you move 🕺 better.

We also can’t reverse wear and tear that’s resulting in you needing a joint replacement. We help the joints 🦴move better and relax the surrounding muscles and ligaments. Often, our patients report feeling more comfortable long-term or in the run up to the surgery. We also offer exceptional rehabilitation programs for post joint replacement surgery.

If you’re experiencing pain and discomfort because of arthritis, we can help! 😁 Chiropractic care is a gentle 🤗 and non-invasive way to help make getting out of bed 🛌 in the morning a little easier. Our techniques will also help you live a healthier 🌈, less painful life. Click here to get in touch!
